Hasselhoff's alcohol-poisoning reports were exaggerated, say reps
David Hasselhoff's reps have said that the reports suggesting that the former 'Baywatch' hunk's was hospitalised on May 2 because he was suffering from alcohol-poisoning were exaggerated.
According to RadarOnline.com, Hasselhoff, 56, was found unconscious and foaming at the mouth on May 2 with a .39 blood alcohol level, a sign of alcohol poisoning, when his daughter Hayley discovered him and rushed him to the hospital.
However, the actor's lawyers told TMZ that the story had been exaggerated, blaming Hasselhoff's ex-wife Pamela Bach for the drama.
"She is in violation of the court's order precluding contacting the media regarding her ex husband," the New York Daily News quoted the rep as saying.
According to the rep, the actor, who had been feeling ill, had been drinking when he got into an argument with Hayley, and he reportedly walked himself to his car and was driven to the hospital.
The actor was released from hospital on May 4.
His spokeswoman said that he was "fine and well and happy".
His lawyers later released a statement to "Extra", saying that the actor was "disturbed and saddened by the fact that a certain individual is disseminating grossly inaccurate stories about him to the press for ulterior motives."
