Anna Kournikova at the South Beach Triathlon
Some people will always be in news, does matter what they do, or how small it is. Everything they do seems to be significant so when Anna Kournikova makes an ppearance, people take notice. This time we won’t discuss what she was wearing because a black tee and lowers may not be the funkiest clothing but you can still take style tips. Make sure you wear only black accessories. It’ll do the trick. And yes, if you have a tattoo, make sure others take notice, and obsess over it and that becomes the next focus of attention. Like we always say, stars are always noticeable.

An interview with John Abraham
Wednesday Apr 8 10:30 AM
Sreya Basu, IBNS, Bollywood Trade News Network
You are mostly into western wear. But just now, you walked in a heavily handworked sherwani . Are you comfortable?
I am wearing a Rohit Bal outfit...do you think there is even the slightest scope for discomfort. But then, I got what you mean...see, I am into show business and when it comes to looking good on ramp or on camera, we are ready for anything. Here, the idea was to connect to every Indian man and I think I have been able to do that.
What if the men in the audience suffer from DOSTANA syndrome after this show?
I am very cool with it. But would love it if you girls too cheer for me.
Do you enjoy Indian wear?
Yes, I enjoy wearing Indian clothes; especially the sherwani Rohit has given me is too lovely. I would love to wear it at a red carpet event. But then, to be very honest, Indian outfits are too heavy and gorgeous, very contradictory to the hot and humid climate. So it's really difficult to carry them on a regular basis. But I do wear ethnic stuffs on certain occasions.
What do you prefer wearing on a regular basis?
I am a blue jeans white T-Shirt guy regularly. But does that make any difference? Rohit (Bal) just told me backstage that to look well; I don't need to wear anything. (Smiles mischievously)
Why is that you always say Kolkata is D-city for you?
Because, as compared to Mumbai, Kolkata is very relaxing. Here after a day's work, you can really retire to bed, do nothing but relax. At times, you really go desperate for a break and some peace, and this city offers you that in plenty.
So, the reason is relaxed mood and not Bengali women?
Well, I will answer it in my way...there are only three kinds of women in this world-good women, better women and Bengali women.
Girls in the front row were shouting that they want to see you walk the ramp bare torso...
Bare torso!...why? they didn't see enough of it in DOSTANA?
Would you like to walk the ramp together with Bipasha?
Yes definitely...I would love to walk the ramp with her. Bipasha had been a great, in fact one of the best, models of her times. She is superb. Honestly, walking with Bipasha Basu will be walking with a supermodel. She looks hotter than me anytime on the ramp.
What is fashion to you?
Just enjoy the clothes you wear and feel comfortable. If I am enjoying my walk on the ramp today, it's because I am enjoying the outfit.
We heard that you love getting outfits as gifts than buying it?
Very true...and why not? Getting an outfit as gift just blowing flying kisses and saying 'Thank You' is any day better than buying them. And I am sure; this mentality is an universal one.
What do you like Bipasha best in?
She looks fantastic, mind-blowing and superb in whatever she wears.
What will you like to wear on your marriage day?
Anything my wife says (laughs aloud)

What If....!
Wednesday Apr 8 10:30 AM
Enkayaar, Bollywood Trade News Network
In LUCK BY CHANCE after the character of Farhan Akhtar becomes successful, and a party is thrown to welcome the new star in the industry, Karan Johar had delivered a very succinct dialogue that was symptomatic of the state of afairs of the industry. He had pointed out to Hrithik Roshan that it is in the situations where the established stars refuse to work outside there images that an opportunity is created for a new face to be launched in the industry, and this indeed is a real moment of disruption for the industry.
As a matter of fact these moments of disruption that has created new stars in the industry that have launched themselves into the dizzying heights of new success. It also needs to be underlined that till the time the movies where made in the black and white era, there were various kind of opportunities presented to the new faces, but it was reduced into a trickle subsequently.
Had not Dev Anand refused to give dates to Prakash Mehra for ZANZEER an Amitabh Bachchan would not have been launched, and it is really difficult to conceptualize the existence of Hindi film industry without an Amitabh Bachchan. In the same manner when Ramesh Sippy was doing the casting for SHOLAY he wanted Danny to play the part of Gabbar Singh, but on his refusals it went to Amjad Khan, and he still is one of the most dreaded faces that have ever been launched on the silver screen.
It is also one of the underlining features that the personalities which were instrumental in creating these moments of disruption could not do the encore. A Prakash Mehra could not create an Amitabh Bachchan once again when he had fallen out with AB in between, though he tried it with Shatrughan Sinha in JWALAMUKHI. In the similar manner a Ramesh Sippy could not create another Amjad Khan though he tried the same with Kulbhushan Kharbanda in SHAAN.
The film industry also would not have been blessed with a director Rakesh Roshan had somebody else decided to direct KHUDGARZ, which ultimately Rakesh Roshan decided to direct and he is one of the hotshot directors in the film industry. It is also interesting to note that of all the people Piyush Mishra was offered the role of Salman Khan in MAINE PYAAR KIYA, but he refused the same, and a Salman Khan was created. Imagine Hindi cinema without Salman Khan, had Piyush Mishra accepted the offer of Sooraj Barjatya.
There are scores of What If... moments present in the industry, and they go on to underline the fact that talent may take some time to find expression, but the window is opened to it in the form of LUCK BY CHANCE, and this is what still entices scores to come in droves to Mumbai. Mumbai still is on a slope, where people with aspirations glide and land, may be in most of the case they land on their head, but when they stand on their feet, the world is their oyster.

Mugdha Godse - Iconic already!
By glamsham
Wednesday Apr 8 10:30 AM
Rachana, Bollywood Trade News Network
FASHION fame Mugdha Godse is pretty fast in grasping things. Just one film old but the girl knows her job well. Where many a debutants take their own sweet time to get hold of their work, Mugdha on the other hand has proved to be quick in understanding her job. May be the credit goes to the realistic filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar who directed her in FASHION and now in upcoming film JAIL starring Neil Nitin Mukesh alongside. If the current reports are to be believed than Mugdha actually consumed a bottle of champagne for a song sequence (where Neil offers the drink to Mugdha) in JAIL so that her drunken scene in the film could look authentic and convincing. Reportedly the girl insisted that actual champagne to be poured into the glass and Madhur who wanted to can the scene right did multiple retakes. As a result Mugdha ended up consuming champagne sufficient enough to make her pleasantly tipsy. Later the unit people along with Mugdha burst into laughter on remembering about the scene.
Well, seems like newbies should take a lesson or two from this model turned actor (psst, not about consuming champagne)

No movies with my dad, please: Sonam Kapoor
Wednesday Apr 8 8:20 AM
Mumbai, April 8 (IANS) Those who want to see Sonam Kapoor and her dad Anil Kapoor together on screen will have to wait for a long time. The 'Delhi 6' girl thinks Kapoor senior looks far younger than his age to play a conventional father in a Bollywood flick.
The buzz around tinsel town is that there's a pivotal role in Anil's home production - of Sonam's father - that he was supposed to play. But Anil is not doing the film titled 'Ayesha'.
'Do you really think he looks like my Dad? No! He doesn't. He looks far younger than his age. And that's why I wouldn't want him to play my father. The role in 'Ayesha' that you're mentioning didn't suit him. My dad can't play the conventional father,' Sonam, who has acted in 'Saawariya' and 'Delhi 6', told IANS.
Earlier, Anil had been offered a role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Delhi 6' with Sonam, but both father and daughter decided against it. In fact, Sonam was more against the idea of their coming together than Anil.
'And that's how it remains even now. I really feel we wouldn't look like father and daughter on screen. We'd rather wait for a while until I'm older because my father isn't going to oblige (by looking older),' said the 23-year-old actress.
When pointed out that some of Anil's leading ladies are about Sonam's age, she said: 'That's right and my father looks very well-matched with all his co-stars. He's quite something. And now after 'Slumdog Millionaire' he has entered another innings in his career. His career keeps getting re-invented. I'm afraid he has set impossible standards for me.'
