Remembering Feroze Khan
Veteran actor Feroze khan who lost his battle to cancer today was always known for being a self-made man. Born to a Pathan father and an Iranian mother, Feroze Khan spent his entire childhood in Bangalore, a city he was deeply attached to till his last moments.
Soon after finishing his schooling, the young and dynamic Khan had set his sights on conquering Bollywood. Success never came easily to him and Khan had to graduate from doing B-grade films before getting noticed in the 1965 film OONCHE LOG. Though the film didn't get him the recognition he wanted, Khan never gave up his fight and won his first ever Filmfare award in 1969 for his powerful portrayal in AADMI AUR INSAAN.
After achieving success as an actor, Khan also tried his hand at producing films. His first production DHARMATMA, which he also acted and directed in 1975 proved to be a big hit of its time. The film which was majorly filmed in Afghanistan made Feroze Khan one of the big stars of his time. This was followed by blockbusters like QURBANI and JANBAAZ which consolidated his stardom in the industry.
After the end of the '80's era, Feroze Khan lost the midas touch he was popularly associated with and produced a series of flop films like YALGAAR and PREM AGAN, which was the launch pad for his son Fardeen Khan.
The veteran Khan was known for his flamboyant lifestyle. He commanded a huge female fan following during his hey days and even after he retired from active career.
Khan was last seen in the 2007 hit film WELCOME, in which he played the character of an underworld don.

LIFE PARTNER is not belonging to the NO ENTRY genre
LIFE PARTNER starring Govinda, Tusshar Kapoor and Fardeen Khan in the lead roles is not a regular comedy film in the offering. Instead it is a 'romantic musical social entertainer' with a touch of comedy to it. Also, it deals with the lives of three men who have different views about marriage.
''People associate a Govinda or a Tusshar Kapoor film as a full on comedy. However, it is far from true in case of LIFE PARTNER. Instead it has got dollops of emotions and drama to it even though comedy is a thread that binds the characters together'', says a close associate of director Rumi Jaffery, the director of the film.
He also spills the beans about the basic plotline of the film which is centered on the characters played by Govinda, Tusshar and Fardeen.
''Each of them has a different view about marriage'', he reveals, ''Tusshar is a simple young man who is a believer in arranged marriage. Fardeen is a flamboyant personality for whom love marriage means everything. As for Govinda, he is a Casanova of sorts and doesn't believe in marriage at all.''
Even though the trio has distinct views about the marriage, Govinda, Tusshar and Fardeen play thick friends in the film which has been based and shot in South Africa.
Says Tusshar Kapoor for whom LIFE PARTNER would be his next release after last year's comic hit GOLMAAL RETURNS. He says, ''LIFE PARTNER is not one of those comedies about mistaken identity or a movie belonging to the NO ENTRY genre. Here, the characters share different viewpoints about love and marriage. There is a lot that everyone learns from each other though.''

Is Lara Dutta insecure over BLUE?
Is Lara Dutta insecure over her forthcoming film BLUE is what industry insiders are wondering. She may be playing the female lead in the film but she seems to be feeling threatened and losing sleep over Katrina Kaif's special appearance in the film claim a few industry sources.
Sources also claim that she is waiting to see the rushes of BLUE and is requesting the makers for the same.
''Katrina was a last minute addition to the film reportedly on recommendation of good friend Akshay Kumar who is amongst the three male leads of the film along with Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan. Apart from a lavish song a few scenes too were shot on Katrina. But as reports have began pouring out that her role has increased since she enjoys a bigger star status, Lara is feeling mighty insecure. As it is the film is a full-on male bonding film and Lara despite of playing a significant character is relegated to the back seat as compared to her male counterparts. As it is the entire first round of publicity for the film was hogged by renowned international pop singer Kylie Minogue. Lara's bikini clad pictures splashed all over the media too haven't done the trick for her either. Her last release BILLU too saw the trio of Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone hogging all the publicity when in fact she had a bigger n better role in the film. She doesn't want the same to happen here over Katrina and Kylie. So in a way her feeling of insecurity is justified,'' adds the sources.
