What's common between Rumi Jaffery and Ajay Chandok? Well, both of them belong to David Dhawan camp and have turned director recently. While Rumi has been a writer of quite a few David Dhawan hits and found himself on the director's chair with GOD TUSSI GREAT HO and LIFE PARTNER (which is about to be released soon), Ajay had assisted David since late 80s and already has two releases to his name as a director - NEHLLE PE DEHLLA and KISSE PYAAR KAROON - with two more in pipeline (KHALBALLI - FUN UNLIMITED and CHATUR SINGH TWO STARS). Now add one more camp member in the list - Yunus Sejawal.
Associated with David Dhawan for more than a decade, Yunus would be making his directorial debut with a black comedy (which is yet to be titled). The film would feature an ensemble star cast comprising of Kay Kay Menon, Rajpal Yadav, Richa Chadda (of OYE LUCKY LUCKY OYE fame) amongst others. The shooting of the film is all set to kick start in the month of June.
Informs a close associate of Yunus, ''He had in his mind to turn director for quite some time and was waiting for a suitable set to enter into a new phase of his life. The subject of this black comedy really charged him up and he would be making the film in a format similar to that of LIFE IN A....METRO.''
However, Yunus is not taking a break from writing, as apparent from his work in laugh fest ALL THE BEST. This Rohit Shetty directed film has story as well as screenplay by Yunus Sejawal. In fact he had also written the story of Rohit's last hit GOLMAAL RETURNS.
Over the years, Yunus has worked with David Dhawan on numerous films like PARTNER, EK AUR EK GYARAH, CHOR MACHAYE SHOR, YEH HAI JALWA, KYO KII...MAIN JHUTH NAHIN BOLTA, JODI NO. 1, KUNWARA, CHAL MERE BHAI and HASEENA MAAN JAAYEGI.
