New Delhi, May 13 (IANS) 'Iqbal' fame actor Shreyas Talpade says he couldn't understand why women take hours to get ready until he had to dress like one himself for his role in Paritosh Painter's 'Paying Guest'.
The actor says it wasn't an easy task.
'Getting into a girl's get up is not easy at all. Those who believe that girls take unnecessary time to get ready and most of the time they are just being fussy, let me tell them that they don't make a fuss about it at all, it really does take that long,' Shreyas said in a press release.
According to a unit source, it used to take Shreyas two and a half hours to wear make-up and get his hair set for the role.
He had once even surprised his wife Deepti with his new avatar.
'When Deepti first saw me in a girl's get up, she was surprised. She couldn't believe that I was her husband. She was so impressed that she jokingly commented that if she would have been a boy, she would have proposed to me,' he said.
Produced by Subhash Ghai, 'Paying Guest' is a comedy and also features Ashish Chaudhary, Javed Jaffrey, Vatsal Seth, Neha Dhupia, Riya Sen and Sayali Bhagat.
