NTR Jr., who is slowly recovering for the severe injuries sustained in a road accident on March 26 during his political campaign for Telugu Desam Party (TDP), reached the polling centre at Mehdipatnam St. Ann's School in an ambulance and cast his vote on Thursday. The young actor, who has a striking resemblance to his legendary grandfather and TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao, was accompanied by his mother. He showed the indelible ink mark on his finger to television cameras but returned home without talking to mediapersons. Meanwhile, Praja Rajyam Party leader and actor Chiranjeevi, his wife Surekha, brothers Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu are also among those who cast their votes yesterday. Actor couple Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, Nagarjuna and his wife Amla stood in queue at a polling booth in Jubilee Hills to cast their votes. Actor Allu Arjun was seen waiting in the queue sporting a T-shirt inscribed 'Vote, Vote, Vote'. Well-known producer, actor, and Congress leader Dasari Narayan Rao also cast his vote. N. Balakrishna, popular actor and leading campaigner for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), also exercised his franchise in a polling booth in upmarket Jubilee Hills area. Many other stars who do not have any political affiliation cast their votes and conveyed a message to the citizens. Actors Venkatesh, Srikanth, Jagapathi Babu, Raja and several others also voted, some of them having taken time out from their busy shooting schedules.
