Now, Ayan in Telugu
Tamil superstar Suriya is well known in Andhra Pradesh thanks to his movies being dubbed in Telugu. Some of these movies like Ghajini, Surya S/o Krishnan (Vaaranam Aayiram in Tamil) have done well here.
The latest film to be dubbed in Telugu is his super-hit Ayan, which releases on May 1 as Veedokkade. Ayan, produced by AVM, is a massive hit in Tamil Nadu, and is still running in theatres there.
Announcing this, producer M Saravanan, who was accompanied by Suriya and Tamannaah in Hyderabad said, "Veeduokkade will be released with 150 prints in 200 theatres in Andhra Pradesh. Suresh Productions has joined hands with us to release the Telugu version."
One more love story for Siddharth
Siddharth is choosy about the films he does. That explains why he has done just about five Telugu films so far.
Generally he has worked with first-time directors and the films have clicked in a huge way. This time around too his teaming with Kishore Kumar for Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam has resulted in success as the film which released in Thursday seems to be faring well.
Siddharth spoke to rediff.com's Radhika Rajamani about the film.
What made you to sign Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam (KIKK)?
I was looking for a love story where I could mix the elements I had explored in Nuvvostanante and Bommarillu. KIKK gave me the chance to be a hilarious flirt in one half and a committed son and lover in the second. My fans will love this film. This is my gift to them for supporting my choices.
Tamil's Jab We Met: The journey so far
Shaktivel (Bharath) and Anjali (Tamannah) board the Pandian Express from Chennai to Theni (near Madurai) where Anjali's family stays.
